So I did my monthly call to them bugging them about reducing my APR. My TYP card had 13.99% APR and I wanted lower. The nice lady on the other side checked on her and and talked to her supervisor about it and apparently they were able to reduce my rate to 11.99% variable. The interesting thing is that my account wasn't even opened for 12 months so I thought that by default it wouldn't be qualified. The interesting thing that the rep mentioned is that she has noticed that I've been calling in monthly to get a lower rate, so apparently they went the extra step to get me to stop calling
Just thought I'd put this here as a data point. Once 12th statement cuts I'm getting a CLI & PCing to Double Cash

Nice.. Thanks for sharing..
MY AA Plat and my DC (used to be AA gold) have been reduced to 4.99 both before 12 months the AA plat before 6months. you dont have to wait to lower it. Just ask for a superviosr
True u don't have to wait a certain amount of time before requesting APR reductions with Citi. I was able to get my AA Platinum card lowered from the initial 21.99% to 13.24% within 90days of opening the account. Anyways that's not the case, upon seeing ya post I decided to call Citi to see if I could have the AA APR lowered again although I'm fully aware 13% is the lowest advertised rate they have. To my greatest surprise they reduced it even further to 9.99%!! Officially my lowest APR on any credit card, now only if they can bump up my limit...

Congrats!
I think I'm going to try this as well, seeing that you were finally successful in getting an APR reduction. Worst they can say is "no" right?
Good job!!
Nice Job!
Gives me something to shoot for in a few months! Would love to get lower than the advertised lower APR % !!!
Do they pull credit for APR reductions?
