I have US Bank and BOA with a higher limits then CITI. Do you have any specal phone numbers I can call. I would love to get a CLI. Thank you! ;}

Was it declined after HP or they declined giving increase with just SP?

This + was it the online CLI or over the phone? Have you tried online?
In my experience Citi takes forever to give CLI's. In fact, I have never received one on my diamond preferred that was opened in 2010 as a basic citi credit card(was PC to diamond)....Even after repeated hard pulls.
Yet, on my citi forward they gave me a SP CLI after 10 months of having the card(2000 - 3400)...
Believe me, I have tried to recon the CLI request on the diamond preferred to no avail. There doesnt seem to be a backdoor number to get them to manually review the request. I always hear "Sir , the system processed your request. theres nothing we can do".
When I ask for someone in authority who can manually edit CLI, they tell me no such person exist. I have given up on that.

Who knows with Citi. It took me a solid 12 months to get a CLI on one of my cards and it was after moderate use. You could try googling the Executive Offices, they seem to have a little more flexibility than the front line CSRs.
I kept having the same problem with my Citibank Simplicity cc. Every time I would request a CLI, I would be declined. The last time they declined me, it was because of the fraud alert I have on my Equifax CR. In my denial letter, Citibank stated that the number was invalid or missing. I was livid! Because the phone number is NOT invalid or missing. All other creditors, would call the number listed on the report without any issues. I contacted the EO number for them and lodged a complaint. The representative I spoke with said they could NOT call the number on my credit file because they were unable to verify that the number belonged to me. Every response she threw at me I had a logical rebuttal. FINALLY, I had to email them a copy of my marraige license and phone bill [The phone was not listed underneath my name, but I do NOT give out my cell number under any circumstance.]. They called me on the number to verify and a couple of hours later, I was APPROVED for my CLI [3800 to 7600]. I was ecstatic!!!!! My highest CL so far. In about 3 months, I will hit the LUV button again to see what happens.
I hope my story helps!
SN: I now have my dream cards, so all I want is to maximize my CLs.
The back door numbers are on myFICO. Here is the link: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Applications/Backdoor-Numbers/m-p/408066 or search for "backdoor numbers" and it should come up. I hope this helps!
I wonder if Citi might be more stringent about giving any luv on the Forward because it is an expired card with tremendous rewards and they'd rather you just apply for a brand new card if you want more available credit. #conspiracytheories

I was able to get a CLI on mine just fine. I don't think that's the issue.
