FYI-I have a Citi American Airlines World Mastercard with a 10,000 cl. It does not report any limit on my CR. As far as utilization is concerned, on rare occasions I carried a balance and my FICO score did not appear to be effected. I'm also mindful of the variables in scoring and therefore could be wrong on the Fico impact. I also have several Visa signatures. My Capital One Venture reports as a normal CC. The others don't.

If a World or Signature card reports neither a CL nor a highest balance (and it reports as "open"), this will be the result. The card is excluded from scoring period. That can be bad if you needed it to help out total util, but it could be good if you let a balance report on that card.
Where it gets really bad is when they don't report a CL, but they do report a highest balance. When that happens, the highest balance is used in the denominator instead of the CL, so that's the figure used in figuring util. Unless you've run your highest-ever balance up near the limit, this can make your card function like a low-limit card.
Hi everyone, in regards to my situation, I spoke with Jason this evening from the supervisory dept at Citi, very polite and courteous what was told to me apparently my citi platinium card was changed to a world mastercard back in August and I do remember recieving a little pamphlet in the mail about having some extra benefits added to the card with the title world mastercard written on the top of it, but I never recieved a different logo card then, although my account must have fell through the cracks when it came to reporting as it was still reporting a cl, but apparently now it was too late to do a deconversion because of this and apparently another card was already sent out on the 29th of November but after talking with him he says he will put in my request to have my card converted to a dividened card getting cash benefits now instead of the awful platinium rewards program he says it will take 45 days due to the credit card act but I can still use my current card in the meantime unfortunately it will be a world mastercard dividened card, no cl will be reported I quess I will have to make sure no balance reports, and hope my cs does not tank, it was either this new card which I have called twice( the regular dividened card) to do a product change and it was always a no go, or the platinuim reporting no cl. Anyone's opinion on this issue. Also anyone with a platinuim card over $5,000 limit watch out for your mailings and online account. My statement cuts on the 6th I will definitely be watching out for the reporting.
After reading this thread I panicked as our dividend card has a 26k limit and it's expiring this month.
Made my husband log in, and the only notice he has is that a new card was sent out. It's still showing the it's the dividend select card, no change.
Will wait until we get them to confirm, but nothing in his account shows any indication that it was changed.
For anyone trying to be absolutely sure how their card is being treated for scoring, you'll need to check your full reports from each CRA. The reports that you get with credit monitoring services either don't have all the info, or it's unreliable.
Here's what it will look like on your reports if it's being counted for util. If it isn't being counted, you'll see "open" instead of "revolving". Be sure to check to see if CL is reported, if highest balance is reported, or if neither are reported. Again, these screen shots are for a card that is being counted:

edited to get the TU image big enough to actually read...
I have noticed a notation on my online for the DP card that a new card was being sent to me. I called today and the CSR said the only possible reason I might be getting a new card was because the expiration date was being extended a year. My current card expires in 2012. CSR wasn't even sure I was getting a new card in the mail. After the phone call I still have no idea what their intentions are. There are 0 to few rewards for this card. The Citi Cash thing is a joke for me. Although it sports my lowest APR and a nice 16K limit this will be the first one to go.
See, when I look at my EQ my Citi AA World MC reports as REVOLVING but does not post a credit limit or high balance. It only shows my current balance. That's it. It is filed under revolving though. My AMEX Zync under EQ goes under "Other Accounts" and says "OPEN" and posts a high credit and balance but is not factored into util.
Edit: This raises a question though, can other creditors see what your actually credit line is even though it is not on your report?
I don't see how they can. If it's not listed on the credit report (which we know it isn't, because otherwise it would be scored), no one can see it.
In fact, that's one of the speculations as to why some lenders stop reporting CL's --they don't want competitors to see how much credit they give out. This would apply to Macy's cards, for instance, that stopped reporting the CL, even though they're certainly not World or Siggy cards.
Can we see a new scoring formula in the works in case this becomes industry wide?
Wondering how scoring would be calculated then?
