Re: CITI Pull

Are they on par with CrapOne?

No, not in the same way.......

I apped for a Citi card 5/10, I had at the time a 777 EQ FICO, 1% util, 5 yrs AAoA's (now 7 yrs, thx AmEx) and maybe 1 or 2 inq's. (I would have been instant approved, I'm sure of it, I mean my score and reports were perfect, BUT................

On my EQ CR at that time, the current Employer listed on my report was not correct, it listed my old Employer (how I did not notice this is beyond me) so on my Citi app I put my current Employer, but it did not match what was on my report so I got a "Please Call" message, I called and was told the Employer I listed on my app did not match what was on my EQ report, and that they would be sending me a letter to sign, she made it seem like nothing, so I was like OK, send the letter (I figured it was just a verification letter of some sort) in the meantime I contacted EQ and informed them I needed to update my Employer info, I was told to fax a copy of a current paystub, SSN and drivers license.

I faxed the info to EQ and within 5 days my report was updated, so I contacted Citi and informed the rep that I have a current copy of my EQ report with my current Employer, and asked if I could just fax over that as verification, I was told sorry sir, we just need you to sign the letter once you receive it and send it back, I was like geeeeezzz OK.

So I get the letter, it was a 4506T form, not only that, in the letter it said "by signing this you authorize Citi to pull an additional report" I was shocked, I called back and spoke to a Manager, and explained the reason I was not instant approved was because of the Employer info not matching, he agreed that based on my score and report I would have been instant approved had it not been for the mis matched info, BUT, there was nothing he could do, and I would have to sign the 4506T form and agree to an additional HP in order to complete the app.

I said to the guy, are you serious? You're not willing  to accept my current CR as verification, and you want me to sign a 4506T form?????? He said sorry sir, you have to fill out the form and send it back, I pretty much told him somewhat politely, you can take my app and stick it in the shredder and that I will take my business elsewhere and that I will never recommend Citi to anyone I know, and hung up.

That's the story with me a Citi.

Re: CITI Pull

Incredible, CITI is slowly losing my vote for the next card. They give you this much trouble and your scores are 'excellent' iamgine what they will ask me? A DNA sample to prove im me?? or my military dental record to match me up??
