Kudos for taking the time to join the forum and share some hope and encouragement during these times of credit despair. Smiley Wink

Re: CITI Sears MC CLD

I work for Citi for Sears Cards, if you received that letter they  only lowered it due to spending habits, I see the same thin when I look at the notes on the accts. The reason is because she wants using it, a lot of people don't believe me when we tell customers over the phone, but that is the only reason. When we lower it for credit reasons, we send you a letter telling you to contact your bureau.

Re: CITI Sears MC CLD

unfortunantly Citi doesn't pay me enough for that. Im on here learning about credit myself I've only been at Citi for a few months now, and unfortunatly i didnt know as much about cards then when i was hurting my credit, as i do now. So i am on here picking out extra tips for other company to repair my credit. I was letting you guys now what was going on behind the scenes. However, if you want to keep calling asking those questions that I did answer, I wont mind lol. We all tell you the same thing and it keeps me with a job. I dont write their policies, I just answer the phones.

We've had quite a few CCC CSR's as members here. Some announce it; others choose to fly under the radar. (I only know about these others when they pm me and tell me, btw; I have no psychic powers regarding members' employment.)

I would think that if CCC's had a lick of sense, they'd have someone that drops in occasionally to get some free feedback. But there have been so many cutbacks that I'd say that they're in too much of a scramble to do so now.

But this is a reminder that it's not smart to use part or all of your name, your zip code, your date of birth, etc in your screen name. We had someone the other day that used their SSN as their screen name. I mean, holy cow, people.

Anyway, CDWUZ, we're glad to have you on the forums, regardless of any link to Citi. And I hope you dodge the layoff bullet with them! I've always been delighted with Citi's CS. Any time a CSR starts laughing and apologizing at the same time when telling me that my new CL on my dopey Sears MC is $1,212, that's my kind of folks. Not terribly thrilled with the computer, though, lol.

Re: CITI Sears MC CLD

I have a Sears store card and was interested in upgrading it to a Mastercard.  I currently have 6 store cards and 3 major cards.  After everything I have read here, I think I will stick to my store card.  Hopefully I won't need a new washer/dryer anytime soon, but you never know.  lol
