I came across this post a while back that says USAA will forgive after 99 months.
I dont' think they ban from their website anymore. My unpaid debts to them are well over $100k and I still have insurance from and use their website.

Burned both back in 05-06 - major business issues, "lost my shirt," etc. Wish I had just paid bare minimums... would be better off... but alas, I was scared, backed into a corner, and panicked.
USAA I know has a LONG LONG memory... but not sure HOW LONG. Any ideas re CITI?
Give citi a try, not much to lose anyway.
Citi has the biggest credit card balance sheet out there, I doubt they will blacklist you forever.
OP- Have you check out the Citi prequal site?

At your suggestion, yes... but all it said was "we couldn't match your records to a Pre-Qualified credit card" and suggested their 2% card instead. That doesn't sound like it actually *did* anything, which wouldn't surprise me since prequals usually can't access my credit file, even on a soft pull - fraud alerts / no marketing / etc flags on the report.
Also does anyone know if the Citi Pre-qualify site also lists co-branded cards (Macy's,Costco) or is it just bank cards? I too burned city in 2014 when they took over the Bestbuy portfolio from Capital One. I now owe Citi $600 instead of Capital One. I don't care for any of Citi's bank cards as I have good ones already, but I am interested in some of the retail. OP I have read on here others that have said they got back in with Citi even after burning them in BK. I would check some other posts as well for reference points. They helped answer a good amount of my questions!

Only Citi legacy/core cards (not Macy's, Sears, Best Buy, Shell, etc). Pretty much most of the CCs that are displayed on the Citi Cards website.
Thank you for your help! I will just have to cold app instead of hope for a pre-approval I guess.

Opt out will prevent prequal offers.
