@Anonymous,
Congrats on your approval.. If you do app for the AA Business or Executive, kindly report back as to what bureau was pulled, limit etc. if you don't mind. I am interested in that card also. But I'd like you to go first if you know what I mean..

I have 750 scores for all 3 bureaus and I wanted to know if I'm even allowed a new citi card due to their rule for having more than 2 cards..

There are people on here with more than 2 Citi cards and your scores are solid so that rule is probably a myth. But if you are not 100% sure, then it is best to wait it out a few months.

Do some digging over at Flyertalk and you'll find a lot of great information about how Citi apps and cards work.

There are people with more than three. You are beyond the 65-day wait period from your second to last approval, so you should be able to get a third card if your CR supports it.
Why don't you ask to upgrade your AA Plat? I think the criteria is most likely the same with the exception that there's a hefty AF with the Exec I believe. They'd be happy to take that money from you. Just my two bits.

It would incredibly silly to give up a signup bonus for an upgrade you have to pay for.
