I have the following cc's with the following CL....
JCPenny-$700
Old Navy-$1800
Cap1-$500
Target-200
Walmart-$150
So my quesiton is that the last 2 have such a low Cl are they even worth keeping to help with my credit? I was thinking that maybe no but then again I can use then and maybe built a GREAT credit relationship with them and maybe in the future I'd get a CLI...What are your thoughts???

wait 4 months and you will probably see a jump in Walmart or you can request it at 4 months, same with Jcpenney and Old Navy (all GE backed cards)
Target, you might be stuck for a while or forever but if it's brand new, I would keep it, you already took the hit for new account and inq and it's no annual fee and they will never close for non use.
Thanks for your thoughts! I will hang on and wait to see what happens...
My Target card bumped from $200 to $500 in a few months, plus it offers a 5% discount on purchases now.
I got my Walmart card in February at $500, and I've gotten 2 increases already - to $700 early summer and just last week to $1100.

So how long in between did the Walmart CLI take for you? My CL is super low but I figured at least they gave me a shot right???

GE is every 4 months you can request increase online.
but I think the first CLI from walmart is automatic... I have seen about everyone going to $700 after 4 statements automatically... I did also, then next one I requested online
So when you request an increase do they pull your credit again or is it based solely on your payment history with them?
thanks ![]()
soft pull, mostly payment history
