OP, as others have said it’s unfortunately unlikely that Chase will restore your lines. I’d be certain to do the following as well; 1) go to every single acct one by one and set auto pay to something higher than the minimum. For me personally $30 would do it since I have yet to see a minimum above $25. 2) set alerts to remind you a set number of days before payment is due. Then confirm something is being paid.
I certainly understand your circumstances and that this was accidental but it’s so very simple to avoid these issues with a little time. I check all of my accounts at least weekly and have a good (2-3 days) idea of when they all close and are due.
+1
It can’t be expressed enough how important setting up min pymts is unless you’re obsessed like me and review your accounts daily. No lie, I open each of my accounts daily. Still, the cards that have recurring pymts and ones I use sporadically are setup with autopay. My daily drivers are not, but I’m going to change that because I almost had a mishap but thank Gawd with my obsession, I caught it. I accidentally set my AmX to be PIF on April 17, when the due date is April 16. Setting up recurring min pymts avoids a
simple oversight or mistake.
Chase *loves* to chase. I got my Freedom back in December 2013 (5500 SL), quit my job that same month and didn't find employment until October 2014. After getting a few apartment applications declined, Chase decreased my CL to 4K but I had made a purchase that cleared to push my balance to 4200. They sent me a letter apologizing for the inconvience but left my CL at 4200. I called CS to ask them why do this now. They simply replied that blah blah review blah call back in 6 months and maybe blah. Never got an auto CLI. Opened up a checking account with them in 2015. I was afraid to pay down my balance thinking they would balance chase me. Finally started paying it down 4 months ago. This month, I was approved for CSP 5K SL.
Chase is a high maintenance relationship.
Been there.
You cant control what Chase might do, so I would keep on paying them until the card is paid off. On time payments and the amount of the payments goes far with Chase.
Make sure that you are signed up for auto pay with all your accounts.
For clarification, was your Bank of America 30 or 60 days late? I would start a goodwill request "campaign" with B of A.
