My wife and I decided to request a CL increase on our NFCU credit card. The application was done over the phone with a representative. When asked on how much of an increase, we asked for an increase from 1000 to 5000. The representative said we were approved for 2200 instantly and asked if we wanted lower or accept the 2200. We accepted. He said it would be effective immediately. I went on my app to check and it shows 22000 as limit. Could this be right? Did that really happen? Anyone experience this before?

Wow! Did they add an extra zero or did you just hit the jackpot?
Maybe, I only asked for 5000$ limit so I could have convinced myself he said 2200 but maybe he said 2200 and missed a zero when reading the approval. Not sure if I should believe it.
Clearly you should have asked for $500,000. Think of the limit you would have now.
Please keep us posted.

OMG! You made me laugh out loud. I mean really loud! (Please don't be offended, OP. We just joke a lot around here. Nothing personal. I am sure you know that.)

it's possible it's correct. they will tell you on the phone what you qualify for and your max. and since they asked if you wanted less that's probably what happened.
I agree!
