After some hard work of having some errors fixed on my report and being on time with payments, I was able to have my credit card limit increased from 2k to 17k! I plan to still treat it like it was 2k, but it is nice to know I am that credit worthy and have that for an emergency! Keep at it people, it pays off!
From 2 to 17 WOW what a jump... Congrats!!! what card is this?

It is a Mastercard through USAA Savings bank, which is for military members, family and even extended family. I applied when I had a very poor score, and waited to adjust until all errors and corrections were made to my score. But if you have any family member in the military, I believe you are eligible for USAA> My husband is active duty USMC, so that is how we qualify. I'm still in shock over it, and I don't plan to use the limit. Honestly I was just expecting 5k or something similar to that amount. One of the great things about USAA is that with credit limit increases, a big factor is your payment history. We have never missed a payment, so I am assuming that is why we have such a high limit. Keep at the hard work, it pays off!
Aha a credit union. I don't wual for USAA although I am ex millitary. Wasn't a member when (officers only in that day) I was in and been out too long. We do have a military credit union here and may apply if needed.

I would definitely check out USAA to see if you can, I'm not sure what their time limits are on former military members.
Unfortunatetly I just checked
