PIF really does not matter to them, per the letter I received. They are doing inquiries on credit and looking at your overall history and UTL. I have a few accounts that are at zero. all my CCs are update to date and paid on-time (the ones that are not PIF). I received this later while i still have a revolving balance. It is already "sock-drawer"ed along with all my other cards. Just carrying around the check card.

Another case of CLD from Walmart over here!
They took DH's teensy-tiny CL of $275 and slashed it down to $100. He called them to ask why and was told that due to the economy they decided to check credit reports on many of their customers and were cutting CLs where they deemed appropriate.
So he canceled the card.

the sad part in all of this that in some cases it is cheaper to shop at the WALMARTS and TARGETS. But it is ok. I will just have to tighten my budget even harder then before. Soon there will be no credit cards to have at the rate of CLDs
I just got a letter that my IKEA CC which had a zero balance for a few months now to $100. The Limit was only $300.00.
GE MONEY is killing. Like i have said in the past just when you get one foot forward, something pushes you 2 steps back. For the past few months I just got my credit in order. With me being laid off last week now this. What next?
I believe it is at random because my Ikea card has not been used in months and i over paid the final bill by $20. The Walmart letter was sent after the last statement cut and it did show a decrease of the limit on the statement.

i agree one billion percent. we hate wal-mart. overcrowded, dirty, & poor service.

Yeah Walmart is not the best but they do have a few staple things i get there cheaper then Target. Walmart's downfall is that they do not have weekly circular like Target. I love to comparison shop (especially with the supermarkets).
I am just upset that they dropped my limit on IKEA to $100. What can I not get for $100 at IKEA? ...hmmm NOTHING
