I just opened this card on 9/05/10 with a $300 limit and I logged in to pay my bill and my new limit is $700! Thanks GEMB!!! I'm surprised at such a quick CLI!
Yay thats awesome!
I have PIF every month. I have also broken up my payments into 2 payments but I always PIF before the due date. They didn't report anything to the credit bureaus last month because I had no balance so this month I left 9% utilization to report on the statement date (yesterday) and already scheduled a payment for today.
I opened the card in June they gave me an initial limit of $700. In November they increased it to $1000 (I hit the CLI button online). I PIF every month. They also sent me the luxe card since I use it so much.
Question for both of you? DId you guys see the CLI after the statement date or prior? For lovely22 did you hit the luv button it looks like 5 months after you opened the card did you do it after your paid or prior?
I did try and hit the luv button for one of my GEMB cards AE just the other day and it said they could not grant one, and would send me a letter. It had been 3 months after, and I PIF since I have had the card.
Since Banana is also a GEMB card, not sure if they work the same. I also have an Old Navy and GAP and so far have PIF but not sure what to expect with these two. I will be closing the Old Navy card, really just use the GAP one.
This is the 4th statement for me and I got it on the statement date. I did not request it.
Halo, why do you have a gap, old navy, and BR? You can use one of the cards at all of their stores...
Do not have a BR card, I only have an OldNavy and GAP. I did not realize I can use one at the other, and since I do not shop at OldNavy will just use the GAP one now.
The other card I do have is American Eagle, that one you cannot use at those stores and since I do shop their the coupons and rewards are much better but know that with any of these cards I PIF as soon as I get the statement, and since I have opened them actually will PIF even prior to the statement dropping.
Oh duh, sorry Halo, I was thinking you were the originator. I wasn't paying attention. ![]()
