CLI → CLD?

Did it ever happen to you that when you requested a CLI, you got a CLD instead after the bank/credit union reviewed your credit reports?

this happened back in the day with Bank of America but I have not really heard lately by anyone.

It has not happened to me yet, nor do I want it to happen to me. I am just curious.

Has not happened to me either. However a lender may deem you high-risk if you ask for CLIs excessively

Depends on how often the creditor SP you. If they don't regularly SP you, they may be in for a surprise when they SP / HP during a CLI request.

I've asked for CLI's and gotten declined. Then I try to recon and UW says no way. Basically looks at the report wondering how I even got approved for the card in the first place. They have yet to CLD me though.
