Re: CLI Friendly Cards?

For me it's been BoA. They gave me a 3000cl card in April and at activation brought it to 5000. Got a CLI in May to 7500. Just brought it to 12,000 three weeks ago.

So basically they gave me 9000 in four months since the account opened.

Cap One was 300 in 12/07. Through combing another Cap One card of 500 and CLI requests and credit steps I'm at 2300 right now.

Both accounts there has never been a hard pull, I always confirm first.

I heard BOA is good with CLI's. I have not received any big CLI's from BOA yet.

Re: CLI Friendly Cards?

Grrr. How the heck is everyone getting these CLI with BofA. All I keep hearing is people getting CLi's with BofA. I just don't get it. With scores in the 700's+ and PERFECT payment history of mostly PIF for somewhere around 2 1/2 maybe even 3 years. I can't get crap from them. I had a war with them just to get up to$3k from my 2k a few weeks back and the credit analyst talked to me like I was scum.

Sorry to hear that --I've been lucky with my CSR's, other than a clueless doofus when I first called in.

When it comes to CLI's with BofA, HHI is a pretty big factor, I think.

HHI Income somewhere around $95-100k. Not millionaires, but I see people posting with income of 1/2 that and CL considerably higher than mine. I don't get it.  I had just started thinking that maybe it was because I had the crappy gold card...and that maybe the gold card *was* the problem. I have since done a product change to the worldpoints mastercard actually did the product change before calling and asking for the CLI. However, I've been waiting just over 2 weeks and have not seen any change on my online account manager or the card in the mail. I'm still stewing from my last call to them and haven't bothered calling to check status yet.

Oh, and for the sake of not exaggerating, it hasn't been 3 years, it's just shy of 2 1/2 years with them. I just looked.

Re: CLI Friendly Cards?

That really is strange! I'm probably not a good pattern, because I got my card specifically to do a BT, and my first CLI came from my calling them and telling them that my EX score was crashing due to high util. Even then, they had to go to a "credit specialist" to make it happen. The second was online, and they were (are) trying to get me to do another BT during the original 0% period. So that might be the engine behind my CLI's.

Hope you get a better rep next time. Smiley Tongue

edit to add: I meant to say that our HHI isn't that much higher (around $120 K.) Maybe they borrowed AmEx's dart board or something.

Thanks.  I'm afraid to call back. Smiley Very Happy  Oh, but I must add, it does make me feel better to see you are just as stumped as I am. I SWEAR it's like a flashing message comes up on the screen about me. They truly do hate me. I can tell.
