CLI Request Frenzy!!

AHHH!! So I've done really well at not applying for new credit over the last year (I opened quite a few new accounts last year and have 7 inquiries that will each hit a year in May or so), but today I was weak and went looking for a little excitement as far as credit goes, I went for the luv button on a few of my cards and didn't receive any of them!  I knew I wouldnt, most of them havent hit the 6 month mark since my last increase, but I just had to give in to the urge and try it out "just in case"!!  I guess I need to work on keeping the CLI requests down too now!  Does anyone else go on CLI frenzies when you know you cant app for new credit?

I just check my citi forward for the luv button and it was there. Its only been three months so I hit it and was approved for a $1500 cli. My limit now is $5500. I'm gonna see if I can get one on my discover because that is at three months.

I also just called chase and asked for a cli on my amzon.com card and was approved for a new limit of 2,500. It was at 1,700. I think it was worth the hard.

No. Self-discipline is an important part of credit management. But one of the hardest things to learn. I know that all too well.

After learning more about AAoA's, that stopped me cold from app'ing for any thing else.  I now just ask for CLI's if it's a soft inquiry.

I will stick to only soft inquires, I will not do a single card that does a hard, not worth my score hit, ever.
