Weird situation, I've been getting CLIs on my cap 1 cards since first one I opened in July. Now, on my new Venture which I put about 3500 through in the past 2 months is denying me due "One of my capital one accounts have a recent 60 day late."
Now my issue with this is that the rep I spoke to insist I have an excellent payment history and they cannot see any sort of lates being reported. I've PIF multiple times in a month and usually 0 when statement cuts.
Only thing I can think of is lates from my old cap 1 cars that I had pre BK7 which was discharged in 2011. I do see an update on TU and EQ that just has status date Nov 2015, but is being reported as IIB and $0 balance.
However, on EX it does report collection and lates in 2011 also pre BK.
Any idea why this is haunting me now? Similar experiences would help, I wonder if this is a case of EO. Thanks everyone.
If you've genuinely had no late payments on a Capital One account, it seems like there might be a glitch somewhere. The update of your BK on TU shouldn't be making a difference one way or another, since the reason being used for the denial would be driven by Capital One's internal records, not a CB report.
If a front-line CSR is unable to help, IMO I would give a shout-out to the EO... this is the type of thing they are around for. ![]()
Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Same exact thing happened to me two months ago. Auto CLI rejected me because of recent a late payment (I haven' t had a late payment on anything since my BK in 2009). You should do fine when you call or email the EO.

Sent an email off to them this morning, just to confirm I'm using the correct address - the one I found is directly to the CEO, that's correct right?

Yes, that's the email I used. I highly doubt it really goes to the CEO, but a nice lady identifying herself as calling from the EO called me back the same day I sent the email.

Did she approve the CLI during the call?
