Re: CLI for the CSP

Chase is pretty stringent when it comes to auto CLIs.
If you request a manual CLI, it will be a HP.

JEGC19,

I was in the same boat. Got the CSP for 5K SL, spent 4K in the first 45 days, Chase auto increased my limit starting with my 3rd statement.

Hope this helps.

Not a problem. They increased my limit $1,000 after my 3rd statement cut and another $1,500 after the 9th statement cut.

Not much, but it was auto and I will gladly take it.

Re: CLI for the CSP

yeah you are right, i dont want to really get a HP just for credit increase i dont believe is worth it. i just wish chase was like amex. they dont hp your score only the first time when you apply and then desicions are base on amex relationship with your habits and payments and spending.

In regards to Amex. For CLI it’s always been a SP, but for new accounts That’s not really true. Yes there has been a trend in data points that existing card members will only get a SP if denied and a HP if approved, there has even been recent data points that sometimes it can be a SP on approval.

But Amex can pull your credit for any new applications. It happened to me. I received a hardpull for a denial while being an existing card member.
