Plasticman,
Thanks, i wasnt scared of asking anymore because i have put through over 100k through that card in about 2 years and 9 months. I used it alot cos of the worldpoints which gives me 1% for every purchase, so i get $250 for every $25,000 i spend on it, nevertheless reading your post gave me the boldness i needed to try a second time in less than a month.
Am done for now though, no need pushing my luck.

Your two increases so close together is very impressive.
I waited to request a CLI 15 months from opening the CC. I did notice BoA soft pulled my EX report. I live in Arizona. I had zero hard inquiries on EX reporting less than 12 months old.
I second the CLI from BOA- Called the backdoor number from here- spoke to the CA rep and told her I was looking to increase my limit. She asked a few generic questions- income- bla bla bla. Put me on hold and bam- 1500 increase! Not much but it's something.
I did reference the new CCard act when she asked why I wanted the increase! I said that a CL increase for those who show good credit usage an repayment structures, shouldn't bare the brunt of those who don't. She laughed and said the REPAYING is the problem!
I have had good experiences with them- so I cannot hate on them as many are.
Just my 2 cents.
kidkilo,
"So I have had good experiences with them"
Couldnt agree with you more, alot of people have complained about BoA, and i must confess even amongst my immediate friends (meaning "real people" DO HAVE genuine problems with BoA), but it has worked for me so far and i have had no problems with BoA.
plasticman,
Yes, i should have asked for more the first time, your post prompted me to ask again!!!, lol.

I third that. BOA has been nothing but good to me. I haven't missed a mortgage payment (knock on wood), I PIF monthly (also knock on wood). Because of car issues, and a lack of savings, I even used my BOA card to pay my other CCs (I did the float until tax time came and bailed me out...lmao). I have yet to pay interest and I still got a $3500 increase. Next year I will ask for more, or maybe in 6 months when my other CCs will get some love (Barclays and Discover).
I even redeemed my miles and took the upgrade to Visa Signature. I know it doesn't report the limit, but hopefully that won't be so bad with the tradeoff I get from the card. (i.e. an Amex in my future... ).
BOA has been good to me. No complaints.

I get tempted to hit that darn "luv" button on my BoA Amex account but I'm paranoid about getting a AA. My ficos are good (760+) and I have very low util (<2%) and haven't hit the button since Nov of 2008. My limit started at 4k and then went to 7k. I'd like to see if they'd bump it to 10k. Only issue is I've opened like 4 accts since Oct of last year. Should I give it a shot or let sleeping dogs lie?
4 new accounts? Wait.

That's what I'm gonna do. The limit I have is ample enough. I PIF every month so I wouldn't charge more than what I could afford to pay off quickly. I also have to agree with the other posters on this thread. BofA has been very courteous and helpful every time I've had to call them on the phone. I kind of suspect though that they might treat their Amex cardholders a little differently than the other cardholders. Why? I have no idea.
