Re: CLI from Credit One!

OMG!!!  I'm batting 1000 today!

About 1.5 yrs ago I opened a Care credit acct that I use for my kitties at the vet.  They gave me a 2k limit.  Then, last Nov when the entire banking industry went SOUTH, the dropped me to 1100. Smiley Sad

So, since I had such great luck w/credit one, I called care credit.

I now have a $204. balance & a $2500 limit!!!!!   Smiley Very Happy  And even sweeter....they post to the cra's sometime between the 4th & the 7th of the month!

WOO HOO....that's an early b-day present 4-me!   (it was worth the hard pull!)

Re: CLI from Credit One!

Out of curiosity, how long have you had your CreditOne card? I ask because I got one in May 2009 and would like to increase the tiny $250 CL as soon as I can, but I don't want to rush things.

Aggie...I opened thatcard in Oct. 05.  BUT....after about 6 mos of good payments I started getting increases.  Mine was $350 limit when I got it.  Here & there if I was on the ph with them they would ask...you're eligible for a CLI...do you want it?  UMMM....yeah!!

So maybe about September or so, call the # on the bill & go through the automated bla bla & You'll hear the request for CLI.  If you have on-time payments & aren't maxed out...you should get it.

So....good luck!!!

Re: CLI from Credit One!

hi, just wanted u to know credit one bank only increase every 6th months and it is only going to be 100 each time. Ive had my card for almost 3yrs in nov and my credit limit is only 900 dollars. I have gotten a credit increase every 6mth for good payment history never late. I even tried talking to a supervisor about getting a bigger increase since i have never been late and had card for three years and they wouldnt. It was a good rebuilding card but as soon as get my scores in the 700s i am going to drop it. The annualy fees are a joke. the fees for paying online and by phone is high thats why i always mail my payment. I have a macys and jcpenney cards that will be just a year old in august and both those are 1800 and i starting out 600 credit limit. My equifax is 690 and transunion is 661. Hopefully after a capital one chargeoff drop off in nov these scres will be in the 700s.

Yeah, I hear ya. This was my "rebuilder card" too!  I pay them online through my bank...for no fee.  I'll likely drop this when I'm in the 700's too.

And the fees suck but for now I'll hang on to it.
