CLI on activation...

I just got my BOA AMEX Rewards card in the mail. What is the procedure for CLI at activation? Do you call the activation number? How exactly do you go about doing it?

Hi, I got mine last week and called the backdoor # listed on this site, not the activation # on the card.
I told them I was really pleased to see the card had finally arrived and I wondered if he/she (use their name if they give it) could possibly check to see if the CL that was given electronically was the most I could have at this time. Could you possibly check for me??
I had a 3000CL and they gave me a 5000CL.
It worked for me, good luck.

Cruised into lowes last march applied in store for CC got approved with a CLI of $3000 I was some, what let down. I thought about it all way home called up CSR told him I was glad they granted me credit I asked him nicely if he could raise my CLI .He put me on hold briefly came back over the phone and asked me what amount would be comparable to me  I told him 10k was comparable and he stated that he would increase CLI to 10K and instantly it was handled. That is how it worked for me merely a suggestion to others.

What is the number I need to use to contact BofA for this CLI? I see a few different numbers and I want to call the right one the first time. I am going to need to do this during the day tomorrow. I assume weekend daytimes are a good time to do this kind of thing.

It's posted in the Backdoor Numbers sticky thread on the top of the forum. It's the BOA Credit Department.

When I called to activate, I told them my CL was not at all competitive with my other cards. They transfered me to the credit department and was raised from $5500 to $10,000 instantly.

CCCs don't seem to like being called "not competitive" in my experience.
