CLI with BOA after the 5-7 wait?

I hit the CLI increase link yesterday.

Does the BOA CLI message .... 5-7 days, we'll let you know , ALWAYS means a decline? I'm hoping not.

Anyone get the increase after this automatic message? Thanks all!

No, it's not necessarily a denial. It just means that it needs to go to manual review. Last time I asked for an increase and entered a CL that I had in mind - I got the 5-7 day message. My new limit showed on my account within a day. When I have left the amount requested blank - it's been instant approval.

And to second Tonsers--

I got the 'wait and see' message after leaving the amount blank and it too showed up the next day for me.  I'd had the card a month at the time.

Good luck!

Re: CLI with BOA after the 5-7 wait?

Oooohh, I so hope that's what happens with me!

Just got brave and hit button for CLI(didnt put any amt) on new Gold Visa.

currently at $5600....it's DH's and I'm AU--

We just want higher limits on all cards for better utilization though we try not to revolve much at all....

just sometimes we happen to have balances we cant pay completely off/down  before they report.....trying to get better with timing on that...

DH has utilization of 5-10% usually and  mine is around 20%..tho this BOA isnt showing on me yet so maybe that'll help some..

sure hope we get the CLI.....DH is very conservative about fiscal matters and I'm sure I'll hear "I told you so" if it gets denied!!  LOL

Re: CLI with BOA after the 5-7 wait?

Rom, don't get your hopes up. Based on my experience, it's a denial. I've gotten that message 2 times and a letter comes in the mail in approx 1 week saying NO. I've gotten a few increases from them and love BoA. One of their responses to my online request said "check in 24hrs to see if approved." In that instance, I was approved the next day when I logged in.

However, the 5-7 day message has been death for me, and I'd say at least 90% of the folks here have received denials as well. In fact, this is the first thread I've seen where anyone has stated they received an increase after that message. I'm a little suspect they received that exact message, but good luck.

Let us know how it turns out please....

Rats!!

Oh, well.....may try to call the backdoor number to see if we can have success.

Just dont want to appear too desperate since it is a new card.

And fortunately right now we're not really looking for more credit for anything special....it's just less worry about the utilization % increasing if the limits are high, in the event we did want revolve anything on it of any consequence

But from your post it's good to see that they evidently dont hold it against you if you ask and they say no......didnt want to tarnish our record with them since we're newbies!
