COMENITY CLOSING ACCTS EMAIL

I have several Comenity store cards, and one SPG Visa---

I recieved emails saying they were going to shut down my Good Sam and Childrens Place store cards due to inactivity over the last 6 months?

They aren't big CL's, 1200 and 1500--but its a little padding. I bought a few small items on each to see how long before I get another shut down email-----I have not recived such emails for my Overstock card@6500--or my SPG Visa @ 4500----

Anyone else having this experience?

Yes, it 6m with them I got a noted after 4m. I guess they are not happy we are not using the card and making money off us. My good sams card I'm still waiting for the to fix the points issue it's been two months. Uggh!

Sounds reasonable. It's actually fairly nice of them to warn you first. Most issuers don't do that.

Yes I got those last year. I'm still waiting for my points to be restored on my Good Sam's Visa and Sportman's Warehouse Visa.

I am thinking of dropping my Comenity store cards. I haven't used them  in over a year.

Re: COMENITY CLOSING ACCTS EMAIL

I think what is intending too is that I have an OfficeDepot card thru Citi and did not use it for almost three years and they never closed it or sent me a letter so go figure.

Something similar happened to my husband. He received an email about his Costco credit card and he was like what credit card. He had a Costco membership when he lived in California about 18 years ago (probably about 15 years at the time). He did not even have a physical card and ending up closing it after trying to get himself validated that it was him.

I feel like a lot of store credit cards have that six month rule. I try to make an order before six months is up just to keep them alive.

Comenity is beyond looney.  Every few months I use it for show and keep it moving

Re: COMENITY CLOSING ACCTS EMAIL

Comenity shut down 9 cards of mine that I got using the SCT 3 years ago, w/o any warning---boom.

At least they are giving a heads up

I agree. Target actually sent me an email after the fact of reducing my CL for inactivity.
