CR reporting the application sprees

Well, the verdict is in that "application spree" cost plenty! I had started out with a TRANS FICO of 566 and now its 519. That is due to application overload. I am glad out of all of this, I was able to obtain some new cards, but it was at a cost. Now, that I have obtained these cards the goals is to pay ontime and keep the utility down. In the long run, I know that in 3-6 months my scores will increase and by that time some of the creditors MAY consider me for a CLI. Time will tell. I am definitely finished applying for anything until Dec 2008 and that is only if I have noticed some of the CO have been removed. Thanks for the good advice

Once bitten, twice shy, right?

I took a 50 point hit with 7 new CCs in about a two month period. I has starting at 0 CCs, but could only imagine the greater loss if I already had the CC history. Haulingthescoreup also got pummeled

App'ing for credit that you need trumps that point loss.  You'll get it back and more!  Smiley Wink

I totally agree fishbjc! Well put.

It's a small price to pay for getting the cc's you need to continue your journey. The nice thing is that the score drop is temporary. They will rebound......and only lead to better things down the road. Smiley Happy

Congrats to you all. Well done!
