How slow are the CRA to update? Discover reported that they update the friday after the statement, which would be 3/2/12. But now 10 calendar days later still no update with EQ, EX, or TU. (balance paydown and CLI) Perhaps Computer glitch with the long Feb.
My new PSECU accounts which showed up at EQ on March 3rd are still not on TU or EX (per CreditKarma update) and Discover CMS 3-in-one.
I'm just getting impatient to see my good changes take affect
From EQ CMS: (all cards updated 3/2012 but discover is 1/2012 with statement data from 1/26) [updated]
CAPITAL ONE BANK USA | XXXX | 2002 | $4,971 | 03/2012 | PAYS AS AGREED |
DISCOVER FINANCIAL S | XXXX | 1999 | $4,808 | 01/2012 | PAYS AS AGREED |
|
For almost everyone, EX updates the night that they get the new info. EQ and TU flip-flop around with who will be slower, but they are generally both in the range of 5 days or so after update.
Don't know what's going on with your updates. It's a little worrying that this is happening with multiple cards. Have you recently changed addresses, etc.?
My Apple Barclays Card still hasnt updated this month...the payment due date was the 7th...its now the 13th....Ive only look on Experian though. I had made a large payment so I thought id be good to go on my second AMEX card app...but i was rudely notified through a declined app that they hadnt bothered to update yet...i dono whos fault it is...Experian or Barclays?

It has nothing to do with the due date. It updates on the statement date, not the due date.
If your next statement date is the 14th or 15th, it should report to the bureaus that night, or soon after. Then you'll have to wait for each one to update.
eta: the balance that is reported, in nearly every case, is the balance due that shows up on the statement. Even if you then pay it off the next day, it's that balance that shows on the reports and is scored. And then next month, unless you pay off any new balance right before the statement, it will then report that balance, and that balance will be scores.
No address changes in the last year. The PSECU was a brand new account.
I guess my only option is to call Discover and ask for a manual update. CRA shows their last update 1/2012 and I would have though my late feb statement should have updated as 2/2012.

Right. I knew that but i was jsut getting confused...For example i was trying to put all the "reporting dates" in my iCal so i knew when to pay them off before and to not charge anything so it would show $0 balance, but its not always the same....
Another thing i noticed is even my statment date changes on my AMEX (havent looked up any other cards yet). It sometimes the 27th, 28, 29, etc....Its pretty weird, right? Or no?

This isn't unusual and is caused by two provisions of the Credit Card Act of 2009:
Your credit card bill will now be due on the same calendar day every month.
Statements must be mailed at least 21 days ahead of when they are due.
Since the due date has to be the same every month the statement date will sometimes have to be adjusted to give enough time for statements to be mailed within the 21 day time period.
Transunion for me throught the years is close to this time range. I honestly dont understand why they are so slow.
What I have done is I called each CC issuer and told them to change due date to the first of every month. That way I know that during middle of each month all 3 CRs will be refreshed.

+1
I'm thinking about doing this myself.
