I have two versions, the "pseudo-metal" one and the plastic one. I use the "metal" one when I have it in my posession at all times (don't get me wrong it is nice & sleek but sometimes gets the wrong attention)...granted it's not the Palladium, Centurion or the Ritz-Carlton ...so, the plastic one comes out to play when it's gonna be handled by people (i.e. restaurants or whatnot) this way folks are not frothing at the mouth, taking pictures or seeing if it can be flinged at the wall like a ninja star or whether it can slice a tomato.
Can it slice a Tomato?
Not very successfully, although an individual at one of the local restaurants tried it. Needless to say, as bright as he was that evening, it wasn't a swiss army knife.

Yea I like mine as well. Although while we are being negative, it is a bit darker in color than I thought it would be.
Yeah it is too dark, you can barely see the sapphire design. I also think the name on the front should be removed, all the data on the back is fine.

The plastic version design of CSP is lighter as pictured in various brochures/pamphlets. Only drawback (for some) is the large font type. The numbers are embossed on the front just like a regular card.

+1 and just to add, the benefits of the card rock which is really what I enjoy about the card the most.

I think it is a pretty sweet looking card. But it isn't a metal card in the vein of Amex Centurion or Chase Palladium. Or even Chase Ritz from what I understand.
+1. The Palladium and Ritz card are identical in weight.
The only difference (other than colour) is that the Palladium has more engraving with the JP Morgan logo on the front, plus your signature lasered on the back. The Ritz has their own logo engraved on the front, but you sign on the back in pen as normal.

Until I saw this I wasn't really aware there WAS a sapphire design, thus proving your point. When I look now, I can see it but the card is all scratched up so it fades into the scratches.
But not a big deal for me, I don't get concerns about credit card appearances. I'm even happy to use my Fidelity Amex, whereas many here wouldn't!

I use mine quite frequently as well!
AH ah. I see what the OP is saying. A good friend of mine has that card, I thought it was kinda original but nothing to write home about. That being said, we all have different tastes so YMMV!

BTW OP, how the heck did you apply for the WMC version?

Call and ask to switch. They are not currently issuing new accounts as MC, but they'll switch. That's what they told me when I asked, at least, and it's what people here have said.
