CSP AU Question

Hello Everyone!

Now I am aware that this may be a stupid question but I'll ask for all those that want the answer but won't ask the question lol

I just added an AU to my CSP, mainly for the 5k bonus points for adding an AU in the first 3 Months. My question is, how do I manage that persons limit to use? I don't want them running up big balances that they can't pay back later. (They are family though)

Thank you all in advance!

Re: CSP AU Question

You get the bonus regardless. If you don't trust them just keep the card. I added an AU to mine as well and just kept it with the rest of my SD'd cards.

Re: CSP AU Question

No I do trust them. I do want them to use the card but I want to set a limit for them. I just don't know how to do that online.

You can't.

If they charge a week-long vacation in Maui to their AU card that they can't pay back, you're the one on the hook.

That's why you either keep the card from them or have a nice, long discussion on about responsible use before handing it over.

I Have Way Too Many of These.

American Express - No CLI or Appreciation Gift in 7 Years

Citibank - Handing Out Credit Limits Like Candy

Chase - Surprisingly, Still Tolerating My Credit-Chasing Ways

Bank of America - My Newest Bae.

Everyone Else.

AFAIK, it's not possible on Chase accounts. I think Amex is the only one that lets you do that.

Re: CSP AU Question

I would suggest calling the number on the back of your card to see if it is a feature you can add to your account. I know there is not an option online to do this, but they may have an option for it that can be done through their customer support.

Re: CSP AU Question

It's not possible. The only CC issuer that does set limits for AU if you want them is Amex.

Re: CSP AU Question

If there is any chance of that happening don't give them the card.
