Hi guys,
I wanted to ask you about an alternative for the Freedom/CSP combination from any other lender. I really have to say that I like the combination and right now with the 5% back on groceries it is more than great.
But because of that I also see what is missing year-around, a good cashback value on groceries.
Basically I am looking for a combination of points (miles) cards from any given vendor which would cover groceries, dining and travelling. In each of these categories a high percentage of 2% would be great.
Is that something out there or am I too demanding?
Don’t understand me wrong, I really like the chase combo here but it always leaves a bad feeling to put 300-500$ a month only on 1% cashback (miles).
Thanks,
Gercredit

Based on your post, If I were in your shoes I'd look in Amex BCP which gives you 6% on groceries but capped at $6,000 per anum. I'd also look into Barclays Sallie Mae also...
Have you looked into AMEX?
BCP is great with 6% on groceries and 3% for gas.
The $75 AF is more than covered if you were to make it your primary grocery/gas card.
EDIT: @Yes beat me to it

BCP came to my mind too, but OP mentioned wanting points instead of cashback.
I would do the BCP or the EDP from Amex depending whether you want cash back or points for mileage. I like the EDP better if you value miles. If you use your card more than 30 times in a month, you can get almost 4.5 MPs with each dollar. thats like getting 9% or more cash back since some miles are worth 2 cents or more.
To be honest, today I am already doing the BCP I just thought there might be a miles/CC program out there (beside the EDP) which would fit better.
Well I guess the advantage is that I dont have all the eggs in one basket...
LOL

I wasn't quite sure what he wanted going back to his post as he did mention missing 'good cashback value' yet went on to 'looking' for points/miles.
I just focused on the cashback portion.
