I'm going to see if the checking is worth it though. I just set up direct deposit for the bare minimum (total $500 per month) to keep it free from fee's.
I was pleased when they made it total-$500 not a single $500 deposit. BofA has a $250 single deposit requirement as I understand it. Citibank just wants one direct deposit and one billpay per month, which is easy to automate.

Yeah, I'm paid bi-monthly so it was easy setting up $250 per check. There are no plans on using it long term especially if I don't find its worth having it open just for the 10%. I'm not sure how much I will actually use the Chase cards for the next year or so, but for the time being they are my main cards.
I must be doing something wrong. I have all three and Chase said I don't qualify for the 10% rebate. I only got all three about 8 months ago so maybe they stopped the program for new customers.

I received a secure message from Chase in Feb (when I opened the Freedom) that the 10% extra will be added next Jan / Feb statement. I don't think it's been discontinued. You might want to check again what's the problem.
I have the freedom and Total Checking and was told I will receive the 10% in Jan. Plan to add the CSP in the fall.
I have all of these.. the "trifecta" right??
I actually average about 6% cash back on my Freedom as a result!!!
trumpet- I still get the 10 pts per trans. If you had your accounts before they stopped offering that, you should be grandfathered in.
I have had a Chase checking/savings for years along with Freedom & aded CSP last week. How do I see if im getting it?

Did Chase not send you a notice that they were stop doing that?
Chase explicitly sent me a notice that they were dropping 10 pts per transaction, and that was several months ago.

Pretty sure you got bad advice. If you google chase freedom and then click 'learn more and apply' from their page, the 10% bonus for Chase checking customers is front and center.
I dont know if I got the notice tbh, but I do know that I've still been getting the 10 pts per xaction.
I only use my Freedom for the 5% categories which tend to be smaller, every day xactions, and so I did the math, and I earn 5.9-6% because of it. lol
I've had Checking since 2008, and the Freedom card since 2012.
