I don't get it! Do I need to wait longer in the first payment/statement cycle? Do I need to have a $3,000 balance at once to get the bonus points? I'm so confused right now! It says my first payment isn't due until 7/20.

EDIT: Yes there PLENTY of funds in the SBC to cover the payment.
You need to contact your bank and ask them why they returned your payment. You do not have to wait for your first statement and you don't need to have a $3k bal at once to get the bonus - just the first 3 mos.
If it was a bank error, get it in writing. The last thing you want is AA taken because your first pyt was returned.

I called both places, neither knew why it happened... So I made a payment from my personal chase account that's linked to both my CSP and Freedom of twice the last payment so they know it must of been some sort of error and I wasn't trying to pull anything over them.
If your bank can't give you a reason, you still should get a letter from them. Mistakes do happen but you want to have all your ducks in a row if it ever comes up. Ie CLI , additional apps with Chase etc.
