I have been eyeing the CSP for awhile, and was curious if anyone has seen lower spend requirements for the SUB. Right now I have a 50k offer for 4k/3 and I really don't think I would be able to meet that spend as my bills are minimal and I would probably have to try and find spend to meet that.
Has anyone seen lower spend requirements for the same SUB?
Hmm, I don't think I could meet the spend requirements without some unnecessary spend which defeats the purpose...May have to wait until the future when I might be planning a vacation to help with the spend. Would probably actually go for the CSR instead as I do travel usually atleast 1-2 times per year so the travel credit would help offset the AF.
I applied to Chase in August when I knew I would have a $1,000 medical bill and about $3,000 of vacation expenses within the first two months of getting the card. That made it easy to meet the spending requirement. Another good time to apply would have been in November when Black Friday and Christmas expenses make it easier to meet the spending requirement.
The following comment will probably draw all sorts of blowback from members of this forum, but here goes..... if you don't think you can meet the SUB spending requirement with your organic spending, then you will probably not get good value from this card, and you should pursue other cards instead of this one.

I was thinking a similar thought, but with the caveat that if you are JUST in it for the SUB, then that's worthwhile. But as a keeper, not worth the $95 fee without more spend.
