So the Visa Signature has a no pre set spending limit? How does that report on the CR? Does it report the same way AMex charge cards report?
All the info you need to know should be listed in the pamphlets that arrived with the card. If not check out https://usa.visa.com/visasignature/index.jsp?ep=v_sym_signature
Congrats on your new card and enjoy it!

Most have NPSL but the CSP does not. There should be a set spending limit provided by Chase and it will report on your CR.
my CSP has a 5k limit. The rewards dont seem that great to me other then 24 hour help, Travel Insurance and Lost Bag Insurance as well as rental car collision stuff.

Thanks. how about Capital One ? do you know if they do the same as Chase?
I'm not sure. Technically all Visa Signature cards are supposed to have NPSL. Due to years of complaints from tons of consumers of no CL reporting, some banks gave in and began to set limits.
It'd be best to check with a CapOne rep before you app.
I think there is some confusion here. The Visa Sig is a credit card, not a charge card, and comes with a credit limit. The difference with Sig (and World MC) is that the issuer MAY allow you to charge above the CL. However, the amount that exceeds the CL must be paid back in that cycle, so if your CL is $5K and you charge $6K, you have to pay the $1000 and whatever the minimum payment is on $5K.
The confusion comes in credit reporting. Some banks, noteably Bank of America until recently, didn't report the CL, and this hurt some people. But the card itself really did have a CL.
And to answer the question what is special about the sig: Very little! Signatures outside forums such as these (where many are new or rebuilding) are very common, a $5K limit is not a barrier to most, and banks get higher swipe fees on signatures so are keen to provide them.
so your telling me there is no noteable difference with a Platinum Mastercard to a World Mastercard??? or no noteable difference to a Platinum Visa to a Visa Signature??? Travel insurance??? Lost Baggage??? Rental Car??? 24/7 Conceierge?
