No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Correct. Both cards are considered Sapphire products so they fall under the same umbrella for the signup bonus with regards to their 24 month rule.
Correct. This has been true for quite a while now, and it has been widely discussed on this forum and in the Doctor of Credit blog. In fact, it's not just about the bonus. They won't give you a second Sapphire card if you already have a Sapphire card, even without a bonus.

So I had the CSP in 2014, got the CSR in 2016. I applied for the CSP today and was told I had gotten the sign up bonus within the last 24 months so I was not eligible. No credit check was run.
I just thought I would share in case anyone was like me and did not know they consider the bonuses for those cards to be one and the same for the 24 month rule.
I will be looking into the AMEX platform as I need a new travel card, all I've ever used was UR points.
Your signature shows a CSR. Generally speaking (there is a complicated loophole), customers are limited to having one Sapphire card at a time. The rejection reason is more complicated than bonus timing.
I PCed my 2015 CSP to CFU this year and got CSR a few months later.
Only way to do it is get two instant approvals on same day and you can obtain CSP/CSR that way and I believe two bonuses as well. Otherwise as others stated you can only have one of the products, etc.

Yes and this still works for those curious. My GF double-dipped on the CSP/CSR last month and was able to get both cards and their SUBs.
