Re: CSP and Chase exposure

If you are declined, when you recon they will tell you you've reached the max exposure they're willing to give you.  Happened to me when I applied for my Freedom.  I had $5,000 worth of CL moved to the Freedom and closed the other card.

Re: CSP and Chase exposure

Why do you think you hit your ceiling? Low income? Several folks have 3+ Chase cards with 5 figure limits.
Learning from my past and rebuilding..

QS 3.8K | WF 500 | Cabela's 3k | ACU 500 |

Re: CSP and Chase exposure

I meant 3 HPs because it would be two to try and raise the other 2 limits and one for the CSP..

Thanks Lexie!  But what do you mean by "move the Disney line first"

I don't know if I have or not...I'm just speculating since I know they have a ceiling.

If you were approved and had to reallocate some CL's, I would move most of the Disney Visa.  You can still have the benefits for Disney Parks but get the 2% for travel/dining with the CSP.

She probably meant move it to the Freedom for a better chance of getting the Freedom to $5k

Discover IT $17k / US Bank Ace (VSig) $13.5K / US Bank Cash+ (VSig) $13.5k
Sam's Mastercard $15k / Walmart Mastercard $10k / Blispay $7.5k PayPal Ex MC $10.8k
CareCredit 5k / Husq $5k / Cap1 QS $4.5k / Barclay Ring $5.35k / Citi DC (WMC) $12k
Gardening Date 7/01/16 / MyFico 08: EQ 801 / TU 777 / EX 771 / 06/08/17

I have no experience in moving lines, but from what I'm reading it sounds like you are saying that they might deny me, and then if I recon say that they could approve me if I move lines?  I'm just trying to picture this scenario so I don't sound like a lost soul if I do call.  Or, is moving lines something I should ask about beforehand?  I guess I just don't get it because I have 8k in exposure to them now, and I still would if I moved a line around....

If you are going to use a HP for a CLI request, i would personally take my chances and use that HP for the CSP. You have history with Chase and you gotta remember they also have their own internal scoring. If you really want the card then just apply for it, you may actually be surprised. If you get the pending message the call right away and let them know that you are willing to reallocate limits or even close a card. It comes down how bad you want the card...good luck and keep us updated if you decide to go for it eagle!

Thanks all!  I'm going to take a day or two to make sure I want to go for it.  I'll be sure to let everyone know the verdict once I do!
