Re: CSP and Chase exposure

Yes, move the Disney card. I moved my signature Disney to Marriott Signature.

Thanks all.  I'm a little weary to try and increase the Freedom and Disney since they would result in hard pulls.  They've been stuck on the same limit since I got them (2 years ago for Freedom, 1 year ago for Disney).  SW is newer so maybe it's a good sign that I got that limit.  Still, probably better off skipping it then try and go for it with 3 hard pulls.  Thanks for the advice.

I wouldn't try for a CLI. If you app and are denied (which you might not be) I would move the Disney Card first.

Re: CSP and Chase exposure

Okay so I decided to go for this early next week...main reason being that my Disney card turns exactly one year old today so I want to give it a few days, even though I'm sure it doesn't matter.  I'm confident, but I was wondering if moving around lines is something worth inquiring about ahead of time?  How would that work, would I call an analyst?

I also read on here that Chase has it's own score it uses for apps, not just a "ceiling."  While I'm sure their own score is comparable to FICO, what separates it?

Re: CSP and Chase exposure

Chase's pre-qualify site has been pretty spot on for me.  If you haven't already, you could give it a whirl just to see what pops up for you.

I've read on here a lot about how Chase has a "ceiling" for customers.  I currenlty have 3 Chase cards, but would love to add the CSP.  However, I'm afraid of AA being taken on my other Chase cards if I attempt to apply for this and am denied.  Is there any precedent for that?  I think my overall credit profile is otherwise okay, but I'm a little concerned about this one...

Nothing to be concerned about unless your current limits and ceiling don't add up to enough to open a CSP and keep your current lineup.   Chase is recon friendly and will definitely allow you to reallocate if you're hitting your internal limit.  I had to do so to open my Freedom.

You'd have to call after applying.

We don't know the details for either scoring model so there's no way to answer that question.  If you receive an internal score you can compare it to your FICO though FICO doesn't have just one scoring model.

Nothing on pre-qualify for me.  Then again, I've never had anything on any pre-qualify site.  I'm not sure if I inadvertantly opted out or not.  I have gotten mail offers in the past though so I don't know.  In any case I tried the pre-qual site right before app'ng for Disney and SW and nothing showed up, yet I got both cards with instant approval...

Yeah, I was showing nothing also when I got Chase Amazon.  I agree, just because nothing shows doesn't mean you want be approved.  Just thought I would mention it in case you hadn't tried it.  Smiley Happy

Good luck!

Nope.  It's a normal Chase card.   https://creditcards.chase.com/credit-cards/amazon-credit-card.aspx?iCELL=682Q&slatesplit=1&

Re: CSP and Chase exposure

OK well never mind, maybe you're right.  When you click on learn more it does take you back to the Amazon site.
