You might get approved but not on the best of terms
If you have the CSP already I would say your chances for the Freedom are pretty hgh. Why don't you check Chase's pre-app if the Freedom comes up then your golden it will also let you know the interest rate.
I did then same thing after I was approved for the CSP checked Pre-app and it came with a 13.99% so I applied. GL.
Another great advantage is the UR mall I always check there before I buy something to see what the bonus points are going to be if a buy an item thru the UR. I also check amazon and other website to make sure I am getting a good deal.
Ex. I bought a pair of shoes for $179 got 15x bonus points plus 1x from Chase. That comes out to over 2500 points for just buying something I needed anyway. I have noticed that the same store usually has a better bonus on the Freedom site than going thru CSP UR. I got the shoes from onlineshoes.com on CSP it was 7x on Freedom it was 15x.
I wish I can get 13.99% APR on my credit cards lol ... The only ones with 15.99% is my CSP and CS which has fixed APR% verus the variable APR% on my other cards
Point of clarification, the APR on the CSP/CS are variable -not fixed.

Purchase Annual Percentage Rate (APR) 15.99%. This APR will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate.a
aWe add 12.74% to the Prime Rate to determine the Purchase/Balance Transfer APR.

Alright so I was denied for the Freedom. They said the reason for the denial is because they approved me for the csp and that was double my highest CL CC before the csp. I did call a few minutes before their closing time. I want to call again tomorrow morning and perhaps BT a small balance from my Discover. Do you think that would possibly help them recon my app?
You can ask them to transfer some of your CSP credit limit to freedom.

I'll ask. Thank you
As the min for a CSP is $5k, that wouldn't help. You could always try again but they may take exception to the 5 new TLs which are less than a yr old on a thin file.

I'm not sure how that works though. My APR is still 15.24, as it was when I first got the card. And I think people are using "fixed" in two different ways
1) your meaning, which would mean the APR stays the same regardless of index changes, like in a 30 year fixed mortgage
2) Is the same for all applicants at that moment. So everyone acceped for the CSP today will receive the same APR, whereas on the Freedom there is a range.

I agree, my rate is and has been 15.24% as well. Closingracer mentioned that he preferred Chase because the APR was not variable but fixed, when it actually is based on a market plus prime rate.

Well yeah but I should of meant to say fixed as in you'll get 15.99% APR if approved versus the variable 14-23% on the freedom,
From reading this entire thread i am not going to look forward to my 18.99 apr when my 0% ends in jan :-(
