Re: CSP car rental question

I believe the CSP has primary renteral coverage.. That is the card I would use out of all mine...  Not sure of the other options you got, but I am sure you proably did you resarch first and elected those for a reason?

Re: CSP car rental question

You need to make sure the CSP covers a car rented in ireland first of all.  Not all rental insurance from credit cards works in every country.

And as far as I know that is the correct way to do that. I would never accept ANY of the stuff from a rental agency though.

Re: CSP car rental question

I beieve the CSP works in every country... Could of sworn I read about that awhile ago and Ireland I wouldn't question being one that it might not..  Maybe someplace like Somolia or somehtingSmiley Happy

Honestly don't know that much about it, but think you are safe on the CSP and would of turned down other coversages.  Call and ask them ?

I know the ritz covers up to the full cash value of the car (excluding lambo, ferrari, aston, bentley, that kinda stuff) for both damage and theft.

yeah CSP was the only card i could find that covers rentals in Ireland, the extra coverage was cheap and CSP doesnt cover theft of items and injury to us so i accepted both of those from avis.

USAA (the masters of auto insurance) wont even cover in ireland.

thanks Cool        :]

Re: CSP car rental question

ok heres what i got from CSP

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Initiate and complete the entire rental transaction using your card that is eligible for the benefit.

2. Decline the rental company’s collision damage waiver or similar provision if it is offered to you. The company may refer to the collision damage waiver as CDW or LDW in their contract or when speaking with you.

If you accept the collision damage waiver offered by the rental company, you will not be eligible for Auto Rental CDW.

What else is not covered?

• Injury of anyone or anything inside or outside of the vehicle

• Loss or theft of personal belongings

ok i think i did it right, thanks guys

edit: heres a good pdf of CSP beny's for anyone
