I never knew CSP offered 3x on travel, thought that was just the Citi cards. I know they used to have 3x first fridays on dininig.
Normal bonus is typically 40K, they're currently running a promo for 50k.
Unless it was a long time ago, I don't recall CSP ever doing 3% on travel.
There are no changes. As for the 50K points; from all indications, this is a permanent change to the number of points. OP, not sure here you are getting your information, but it's incorrect

Using card for travel only gives back 2 percent not 3 percent.
Don't conflate 2x and 2%. 2x is just the earn rate. % depends on redemptions. As always, make sure you running the numbers for your spend from purchase through redemptions to determine the rewards you'd stand to receive for any rewards card you're considering.
If you're only redeeming for statement credits, 2x is 2% since 1 UR point is valued at 1 cent with that redemption method. Higher value/point may be possible depending on how you redeem.

It was always 2x the points not 3% like OP states
Is this maybe what you are referring to? They were offering 3pts/$1 booking travel through Chase this past year.

Is OP talking about the extra point you used to get booking travel through the portal (using cash rather than UR)? If you did that, you did indeed get 3UR per $, and that has gone away
ETA: little too slow!
