Received my CSP yesterday, and wow! it's such a nice looking card!! Like everyone says, it's a heavy card...but it feels darn good. Well, after activating it, I placed the card in its new designated slot in my wallet (front slot lol), closed the wallet. Then I knew there was something wrong....my new cards are all fresh & nice, but my wallet is not! It's pretty worn out after all these years being through the hardships w/ me. Here's where the trouble beganwhen I started hearing two voices: "get a new wallet to treat your new cards better" and the other "Don't leave me, I've been through so much w/ you" lol. This 'get the new wallet or not' thing has been on my mind all day yesterday, and finally I came to a conclusion that I'm going to treat my new cards with a new home, and retire (not trash) my old wallet. ^^ I know all of you are reading this and like..wth? Sorry guys, but i thought i'd share since some of you may go through the same thing later on.
On a side note, here's my plan of using my current cards, any input would be appreciated.
CSP(5k CL)- paying bills for the next 3 months (to get the bonus points) plus dining & travel. Will serve as my main, everyday card
Citi AA Gold (2k CL)- Only need to spend $500 more to get the 40k miles (already spent 1k & paid in full), so general purchases until i hit $500 more. This will be my 2nd main card, for general purchases.
BOA CashRewards (1k CL)- Only for gas purchases for 3x cash back
Cap1 Quicksilver (1.5k CL)- Golf for the most part, and general purchases for 1.5x cash back.
Cap 1 SonyCard (1k CL)- Some dining (2x points) & Movies (5x points) on Sony.
*AMEX PRG (Currently under manual review)- If I get approved, I don't know what to do with this card....So i applied for this card before applying for the CSP(and approved), got denied, asked for manual review. Anyways, I know the CSP & PRG rewards overlap in many areas so I don't think i would need it...any thoughts? If anything, I would PC to Green, so I can still get in with AMEX.
**Delta Skymiles AMEX (Currently under manual review)- Same scenario as the PRG, app'd same time one after the other. I would still love to have this card as in my lineup, as I travel frequently with Delta. I applied for the Gold, but if I can get approved, I don't know if I can PC it to Plantinum (I would pay $50 more to get that companion tkt).

That's a great lineup, i have the same issue where so many of my rewards overlap and it's hard to figure out which card to use.
You will have to wait 13 months to PC your Gold Delta card to the Platinum... that actually helps you though because the Platinum is 150 for the first year where the Gold is 0... plus you don't get the Companion pass until after you have had the card for 12 months...
Thank you! I got approved on the 3rd, asked to expedite it since I'll be traveling next week, and received yesterday (5th). Ask them to expedite it (tell them you'll be traveling so you need it), and you'll be golden in a few days. Congrats on your approval, you'll loveeeeee this card!
Wow, you have the same first 3 CC lineup as what I would love to have: CSP, AMEX Charge Card, and Delta! Thanks for the great info on the companion tkt, I hope it get in the door w/ AMEX!

Well, that's a nice problem to have! LOL I say get that new wallet, I'm sure the older one is ready for a nice retirement after all those years of hard work.
