No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Congratulations (assuming that the decision gets the required sign-off).
Are you still going to do as planned with Citi? It would be interesting to see! They can really be quite frustrating to deal with, it SEEMS as if the reps are making up things as they go along, but to be fair they may just be following different versions of policies.
So I heard:
a) No, there is NO WAY to transfer CLs between cards
b) You can, but you have to close one of the cards
c) Varient of b: You have to close the card and even then only a portion can be transferred, the rest (5K of $15K in the case I was trying) has to kept on the closed card in case you want to reopen it.
Nothing as simple as Chase or Amex.
So if you try, let us know.

I don't know at this point. I planned to but am very content with my limits at the moment and all my goals have been met, except for consolidating the credit portfolio.
The Citi situation would be for if they didn't approve a CLI on the 24.9k one. But any CLI I went for would be so astronomical numerically that it kind of scares me to think about having one card with such a high limit (somewhere between 45k and 90k)
In which case I would increase the 7k one and then transfer the limit to the 24.9k one.
But I hear that these are treated as CLIs so I would have to wait 6 months or something either way, in which case my credit profile would be completely different anyway and I might not be interested anymore.
My next CLI spree is on September 9th, any card with a less than limit less than $10,000 will be closed. So I'm glad at least that CSP is not in that area anymore.
Earlier in the thread I said that I was not able to move credit around with Citi, but that changed. I asked again and was able to speak with someone at the executive office. She put in the same request, but I reckon since it came from someone higher up the underwriters actually decided to look at the fact that I had just received the increase and wasn't asking for any more credit. If you get someone from the executive office it seems to work.
