CSP

Currently have freedom w/ 6500 limit. Asked through secure message if i was eligible for upgrade to csp and was told yes but i obviously wont get sign up bonus. If i apply and get denied id still be eligible for upgrade to csp. Would i ever be eligible again for sign up bonus if i upgraded instead of new app?

The current rule is that you can't get a SUB on any Sapphire card if you've received a SUB on any Sapphire card within the previous 24 months.

A brief synopsis of the process is that if you upgraded now,  when you were later ready to apply to get a bonus you would need to either cancel the card or PC it back to a non-Sapphire card, allow the change/cancellation to age out, then reapply for the CSP.  If accepted you would eligible for the signup bonus.

The caveat is that the rules as they currently exist may not be the rules in place when you are ready to reapply.

Re: CSP

Right away. Chase is very flexible on how easy it is to move CL

Also I wouldn't trust Credit Karma. At least for me they have always been wrong

Re: CSP

Most folks say 31 days/1 statement after PC from Sapphire to other.

Don't trust CK, they make $$$ if you app and approve through them.

Try chase.com/prequalified to see what Chase says.

Re: CSP

If your under 5/24 then it might be worth cold apping. 50k points is well worth the hard inquiry if you get approved

Re: CSP

Any interest in CSR? If you have enough use for a CSP that you'd consider getting one without a bonus, you might consider the extra rewards and protections CSR offers over CSP.

I just PCed my CSP to a Freedom Unlimited and plan to get a CSR eventually.
