Surprised you got such a lousy APR with your scores and 2/24 over the past two years and overall low utilization. Chase doesn't negotiate APR's it just doesn't happen. Congrats on your card though. Rewards cards aren't really meant to carry balances either, so no real loss there IMO, but I understand being the principle thing, but its an approval at least on a very nice card.

This. I think APRs are just a badge of honor - the lower the better - but in the end it doesn't matter because if you are using the card correctly you wouldn't carry a balance and thus the APR doesn't matter.
In fact, if you didn't say anything, no one else would know. I don't even know what APR we received on the CSR my wife was approved for - but we only received the minimum $10k limit - and that was after a grilling of income and a history of all our other cards and amount we run through them - probably because my wife had no credit cards in her name before this one (except for a couple of AUs from my cards).

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Chase fan. They are awesome with SLs and are again the leaders with my highest SL. But total shock on the APR!
Higher APR than the CSP and Freedom with better scores is a head scratcher..
Can't really count the CSP as that has a same-for-everyone APR. Freedom does vary though

Not anymore, this varies now as well .. Regardless I got the "best" apr due to getting it back when there was only one APR on the card vs. range. Granted never carry a balance on that card either if at all possible.

Oh, didn't see that! Did that come in with the CSR, or before? It makes sense, one APR for all really doesn't!

Several months before.. Only one or two Chase cards left with set APR's.. AARP is one for obvious reason (who it is targeted for) and possibly one or two others, don't feel like clicking through them all .. Maybe Disny as well?
Sorry about the APR, I understand the annoying feeling of it. As stated they don't negotiate APR so all you can do is not carry a balance on it (doubt you would anyway).

Agreed. I would NOT be carrying a balance on this card.
