CSR Approval Odds?

Hello all, been a long time lurker here. I've been gardening and raising my score for just about a year now, and I've been wanting the CSR for a while now, just like everyone else. What do you think my chances are? I'm at 4/24. No baddies, utilization is at 5%. Thanks!

Income: $95,000

Cards:

Have you checked for offers?

Re: CSR Approval Odds?

Sounds pretty good profile wise to me OP.  I know when I submitted for the CSR it was with higher utilization than you and a 50pt lower score at that time.  Minus anything not seen such as AAoA or good ol' YMMV, I'd say it looks very positive.  Love this card myself!

Re: CSR Approval Odds?

I have, I haven't gotten any new ones since I took the "my offers" for a CFU a few months back.

I had a similar profile when I got mine. Differences were I had 0% utilization, and I was at 3/24. One thing to note is Chase will look at all of your CLs. If they believe your income can't support your CLs + the 10K the CSR requires, they may deny you.

Re: CSR Approval Odds?

Income, AAoA and current chase cards all make a difference. Other then the cards being listed, nothing else is. That would help in making a better guess if it's worth it or not. Currently right now, I would say no. From what I see cards wise, your AAoA looks 8-9 months (don't know if you have any other accts). That definitely is not enough.

Re: CSR Approval Odds?

I don't know if it substantially increases my chances, but my reporting income is $95,000?

Re: CSR Approval Odds?

I think the chances are fair. Chase is comfortable enough to give you 14.5K of credit thus far. Barring any derogs on your CR (which it seems you don't have any), I don't think there's anything on there that would give Chase pause. The account ages are a bit young but you have at least one account that's 1yr old.

If you really want the CSR then I'd say that there are two ways forward:

1. You apply now. If you are denied, you lose nothing for a temporary hit with the HPs and you'd need to garden probably for another 6 months before trying again. If you get it, you'll probably garden.

2. You garden another 2-4 months and apply. Your chances will likely be higher with multiple cards being 1yr or older.

In all scenarios you garden for at least a few more months. The only thing you have to lose by applying now is the HP hits which are temporary. If it were me, I'd pull the trigger and go for it. If denied, try again in 4-6 months.

Re: CSR Approval Odds?

I'd agree with the others.  Chances are fair, and you may need to reallocate your existing Chase lines to make it happen.  If I were in your shoes, I'd probably hop over to the Garden Club for about 4-6 months and apply then just to give some breathing room on the age of the accounts.  If a green checkmark offer happens to pop up for it in My Offers in your Chase account before then, go for it!

The only two reasons I can see that would tell me "wait" are the number of accounts opened recently and the lack of existing cards with credit lines over $10,000.
