Ha ha!  My pantry is OVERLOWING with all the non-perishable grocery and adult beverage items that I procured with the grocery/travel credit, the 5% grocery bonus, and the Pay Yourself Back feature.  My freezer is also completely full.  I hope I don't have an expiration date crisis in a few months.

In February 2018, Chase offered a promo for using Chase Pay at ShopRite. It came out to be something like 10% back. I bought this:

I would not advise attempting this at the current time.

The OG TP hoarder!

If I still had my stash at the beginning of the pandemic I'd have been the... nevermind.

Re: CSR/CSP Q3 Bonus Categories

The gas points have my attention, but Amex's 20 credit for streaming beats the points from streaming. Lol.

My Platinum has my Netflix and 20 towards Verizon. Ink gets the rest of VZ!

@RadioRob 20 credit?

Re: CSR/CSP Q3 Bonus Categories

@Anonymous Amex Platinum is offering two $20 monthly credits:

  • Cardholders will receive up to $20 in statement credits for wireless telephone charges
  • Cardholders will receive up to $20 in statement credits for streaming subscription services

So you could get UP TO 40 a month. Right now I'm getting 35 because my Netflix is 15 and 20 of my VZ bill gets put on Amex.

Gas category meh. EV driver. SoFi's streaming category promo (20% instant back) just ended so I guess it's going on the CSP.

Re: CSR/CSP Q3 Bonus Categories

It looks nice, if CSP/CSR would include bonuses similar to Freedom.

It looks like several travel related cards with AF provide some high bonuses. I am waiting for similar ones in AMEX GOLD (cannot find any bonuses to cover its AF).

Fico8: EX~EQ~TU~840 (12 month goal~850).
BOA (CCR, UCR), Chase (CFF, CSP, Amazon, CIC, CIU), US Bank (Cash+, AR, Go, Ralphs), Discover, Citi (CCC, DC, SYW), Amex (BCP, HH, Biz Gold, BBC, BBP), Affinity CR, Cap1(Walmart), Barclays View.

Ha. I agree.

My wife and I discovered the Chase promo late (as in only a few days left). This was the only thing I could think of to buy in quantity at ShopRite that would never go bad and that we would be guaranteed to eventually use. We did eventually use it all. It was actually nice to not buy TP again for over a year.

To be clear, this was in 2018. We weren't hoarding TP.

Credit to DoC.

For Q3, Chase has added some new bonus categories on Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Preferred.

Gas - 5x CSR, 3x CSP up to $1500

Streaming* - 10x CSR, 5x CSP up to $1500

Instacart Grocery Pickup and Delivery - 5x CSR, 3x CSP up to $3000

Plus either a $50 statement credit for new or renewing annual Instacart Express membership, or 3 months of statement credit to cover the monthly plan.

Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Netflix, Sling, Vudu, Fubo TV, Apple Music, SiriusXM, Pandora, Spotify, YouTube TV

Gotta say I'm a little disappointed personally. I was ok with the 5x groceries last quarter, but I don't do deliveries so Instacart is not appealing. Platinum's already reimbursing what little streaming I have (SiriusXM only at present; Netflix is complimentary for another 2 years or so) and gas is a very rare purchase.
