Really makes it 3.75% on CSP.
It will see some action.
I've scored a 3x on gas purchase already with this card. Officially takes it out of the sock drawer for me this quarter. Perfect as I've got vacations lined up for this month.
WalletFlo is a good way to track which quarter is giving you the best bonuses. I don't know about valuations but it seems accurate as far as assigning point values to different categories. For example I didn't know I was 5x on paypal through discover before using it.
The instacart 3x on CSP is nothing special compared to the Whole Foods 5x bonus on the Chase Freedom for me this quarter. I have plenty of time to hit the store for grocery shopping. I still go with the CSP for Doordash credit and FYI British Airways is offering a 150 one time bonus for using Doordash through their shopping portal, a good way to keep your BA account active.
But I can't do all of my grocery shopping through Whole Foods as they simply don't offer a lot of what the other grocery stores do. For other grocery stores I'm stuck with my CFU this quarter. I guess another option is to set up my paypal card through Samsung Pay and pay at the grocery store with 5% at Discover.
What I used to do while under a SUB is put all my spend on that card during the bonus period, regardless if it was the right category. I'm under two SUB's for Hyatt and AMEX Green (combined spend requirement of 8,000) and so far through 6 weeks I've knocked back 4,000 in spending on them without using them at the grocery store or the gas pump. The Green I'm just using exclusively in the 3x categories even though I'm under an SUB with it and I'm already around 1,000 there.
With Hyatt I've picked up some tires online (25% discount + 3x Rakuten) a new laptop (25% discount + 10% cash back), football season tickets (small order to keep my account active) and some spend at a Hyatt property with its bonus point promotion. That puts me right over 3,000 threshold in spend to hit the first tier of bonuses. I thought I might use it more for dining but with all the offers AMEX is throwing at me its probably going to become a sock drawer card long term like my Citi AAdvantage is sitting in my sock drawer, not even worth the promotional spend.
