CSR Question

Hey guys, I have the CSP and was told I can PC to the CSR if I want to, I'd rather app in branch for the 100,000 UR I'm at 0/24 and scores are at 710 due to carrying a balance transfer putting my Utilization at 30% no negatives and aaoa at 9 years, long history with chase as well

My question is this, if I'm denied, can I ask that my CL from CSP be given over to the CSR for approval? I have $21,000 CL on the CSP and if yes, does that still in essence make it an approved app so as I can still get the 100,000 points?

I don't think you'll have any problems getting approved in branch.  Definitely try that first for the 100K points.  If you're denied for some reason you can't really just transfer over your CSP limit to the CSR to be approved.  The only time Chase would move limits for an approval is if you are already at the max credit limit that they would extend you but they would offer you that if that remotely was an issue and not just outright deny you.  Realistically this isn't going to be an issue or happen.

If if you are denied you can still PC the CSP to the CSR but you would not receive the bonus points.  If as I think will happen , you are approved for the CSR you still should transfer your limit on the CSP to the CSR or PC the CSP to a Freedom or Freedom Unlimited because the CSR makes the CSP completely useless.

Good luck with your application.

Re: CSR Question

I understand what your saying about the CL, thanks, I guess then my worry will be score not high enough due to a bit of a high utilization, I'm at about 31%

Seems like you need about at least a 730-740

Your score is high enough but the 31% could stand to be lower.  Not sure if you're going to have time to get your balances down and report before the offer expires so I would go ahead and apply.  Not much to lose and a lot to be gained.

Re: CSR Question

Well like I said, it's a balance transfer that I have 0% on for about 13 more months so I guess that's explainable during a recon if need be, plus I have a thick file so I'm sure that will help with no new cards since about 3 years, I'll keep you guys posted

If you are denied, call the reconsideration number and offer to move credit around.  Odds are, if they believe that you're not exposing them to any additional risk they'll do it.

Re: CSR Question

You may not even have to xfer limit if your approval comes back instant. I think minimum instant is 10K, however on manual could be 5K particularly if they had to reallocate.

Re: CSR Question

I hope so, the card is perfect for my spend, my lowest CL is $17000 all 10 others are over $20000 so I hope the CL is more in line with those

Re: CSR Question

Plus I don't mind transferring over my CSP CL since the CSP will no longer be needed 😉
