Cabela's VISA question?

So I got my Cabela's VISA today with a CHIP...going to be chip and signature I guess?  So my limit is $1000 but it doesn't say anywhere what cash is available. NO, I'M not taking cash out but I keep a sreadsheet of all my card's limits, apr, date opened, etc.  I will call them but I was curious if anyone had an answer?

thanks in advance!

Re: Cabela's VISA question?

I guess you'd have to call to find out. I just checked my statement and it doesn't show anything about cash advance at all.

Re: Cabela's VISA question?

I looked at my paperwork and the DW's and don't see an amount although the APR for cash advances shows on the statements.

Re: Cabela's VISA question?

Hey guys...I called. Your cash limit is 40% of your total limit with REALLY BAD terms....don't ever get cash from this card!

Re: Cabela's VISA question?

pretty much! 4% fee, 25% interest, and all payments go towards purchases before any touches the cash advance amount. the guy was real nice but he rattled off a bunch more stuff and we laughed and decided it was a bad deal!

4% fee on top of the interest! geez. the interest pretty much fairs with alot of other cards though

Re: Cabela's VISA question?

Cabela's is supposed to be super conservative from what I have heard, and SP's cardholders every month. I think they might view a cash advance as risky behavior. I don't plan to ever take one with them!

Re: Cabela's VISA question?

They don't like people carrying and maxing out the card. I saw a few people got their account closed. It is one of the oddball cards.

Ron.
