Calculating Interest question?

I'm thinking about doing the NFCU 2.99% balance transfer promo. If I have $10k in credit card debt and I pay it off within a year and the interest is 2.99... How much interest will I pay? I feel dumb lol. Thanks

Short version would be 3% of $10k would be $300. It'd be less than that because as you pay it, you'll pay interest on a a smaller and smaller balance each month.
