Calling All Experts on Credit Cards

Other than Bank Of America cash reward card is there any other cards that constantly offer periods (18 months) with low or 0% interest?  Im not talking about introductory offers, Im talking about after you have the card.

Re: Calling All Experts on Credit Cards

Last week, I applied for and was approved for a Chase Freedom and American Express EDP - both are 0% on BT and purchases until 5/18 and 13.49% APR.

Citi offers recurring BT offers, as well as capital one (but much less frequent and not guaranteed). 1 yr with citi is all u need. BoA usually starts at day one and has better offers by phone.  So citi would be double cash but I would suggest Diamond Preferred as it has lower variable rate, and then pc to DC later.

Chase amazon does as well.

Dont forget to mix in good sign on bonuses too.

And also a good single digit fixed rate card like the bourns employees federal credit union 4.99%-5.49% fixed rate card, no bt or CA fees... insane.....

Re: Calling All Experts on Credit Cards

I got citi zero apr for 18 mo. I opted for the simplicity it was the lowest apr for me 13.xx after the zero % period for balance transfers and purchases. I moved all my bills to it for auto pay.

Re: Calling All Experts on Credit Cards

For some companies it's just a matter of asking for a deal.  Discover almost always has good balance transfer deals available, but if you ask, you can usually get either a permanent reduction in APR or a very low, temporary APR for purchases over a 6-18 month period (although I think 6 months may be more common).  I think Amex also does the same on its revolvers.  Amex did give me a surprise period of 0% interest for around 6 months on my PRG (through the Pay Over Time feature).  My understanding is that Chase does not offer these kinds of deals (except for balance transfer deals), and I've only seen balance transfer options from Citi.  For what it's worth, Citi, Discover, and Chase are constantly, constantly sending me balance transfer deals, so if you're open to those, there are plenty out there.

Couldn't tell you much on this topic as I'm a dedicated deadbeat, but Barclays tends to be nice with interest rates. I think one of my cards is a 10.99%. The Ring is always a good option for carrying a balance.

Barclay's, Capital One & Comenity constantly send me offers or BT checks for 12-18 months of 0% interest with fees ranging from 1-3%.

Re: Calling All Experts on Credit Cards

Some one stated that Chase doesn't offer 0% rates on CC.  Actually, I received an offer in the mail yesterday for 0% interest for 12 months (along with 3 checks) - this was on my CSP.

EQ - 812 (CCT) 5/29/17 / EX- 819 (CCT) - 5/29/2017 / TU - 812 - 5/29(CCT) / Util - 2% / AA0A - 6 years, 8 months

Diners Club Prestige - $40K; Amex ED - $18K; Amex BCE - $5K; Chase CSP - $6K; Chase Freedom Unlimited- $8K; Chase IHG - $17K; Walmart MC - $7.6K; Discover - $12.9K; Merrick - $4850; Credit Care - $2.5K; Pay Pal - 5K; Macy's - $5.2K

Re: Calling All Experts on Credit Cards

Cap 1 and Barclays have been offering me 12 or 18 mo balance transfers for the past few years and I've been using them that time to kite balances without paying any interest.  It's usually 3% to roll over a balance so to move $1,000 incurs a 30 dollar fee.  Recently I got Barclays offering me 12 mo @ 0% for a 1% balance transfer fee and I really like this offer and have used it.  BofA also has offered, but I haven't used theirs yet.  There may be other creditors that I'm not remembering at the moment.
