Act fast! 😂😂😂
Ooooooo, bad boy/girl. ![]()
So you think I was able to bypass the 5/24 rule because the freedom was my first card. humm, then perhaps I should not fate it. with a second :-)

What's pm your REPORT matters. If your report only shows 4 credit cards opened (not counting non visa/mc store cards) then sneak an app in before you hit 5/24. If you just opened the freedom it likely isn't reported yet.
Also I imagine 5/24 has something to do with churning atleast a little. If you open it, hit the bonus, then close it, you still opened it and got the bonus. I think there's why it doesn't matter. But like everyone said the card still counts
I only have 3 non store cards. Being the Capital One Secured, that I will close regardless, and the two quicksilvers. Now with the Freedom that I was able to bypass teh 5/24 I will have a total of 4 non store cards. I don't have 5 non store cards yet, just 4. So from what you are saying they don't count the store cards just the non store cards? If that is the case I only have 4 now. Thanks for your response.

If it's not on you're report, it's not opened =)
The freedom is not on my report yet. It has not even arrived since 4/7/16 when I was approved. lol. I am hoping since this is my last baddie holding me down aside from a closed capital one secuired card with a late from over two years ago, that this one is going to take me to the top with my scores. My util is only going down. I wonder when the freedom will report. I hope after these things drop off my report. I know some cards report after the first statement, I am not sure if chase operates like that or is it from the time it is activated? In either case I only have 4 cards if I include the freedom that has not yet reported not counting the store cards.

Based on what Kuma said at 1:31pm, store cards don't count towards 5/24? I have 6 new accounts I opened past summer, but only 2 are MC. The rest are jewelry store x2, furniture, and Walmart.
If this is the case. I only have 3 until the freedom reports and then I will have 4. Thanks for that information.

This is inaccurate information. Store cards definitely count (I know, just got one). ![]()
That makes no sense kris, you would've been denied for a different reason. Unless a card is reported on your account chase has no way of knowing its opened. If I apply for one card a day for the next ten days, and not a single ones on my report I'm going to have a ton of inquiries but no recently opened accounts(assuming none report yet).
Others have stated store cards COUNT, HOWEVER. I've yet to see someone be denied 5/24 with STRICTLY STORE cards being part of the 5. My Sears store card for example, DOES NOT COUNT. A Sears mastercard 1000000% will. The second is not a Sears store card, its a Sears MC.
Furthermore apping on the same day doesn't increase your chances, whether you're alerted to them or not, the inquiry is on your report instantly and affects your score. The benefit to apping on the same day is 1. The inquiries age off together and 2. Not possible for the card to be reported as open yet.
What did you just get? A store card? Sure they count for utilization. To 5/24? An actual strictly store card? Does not.
Every.single.time. someone makes a post about breaking 5/24, they have several store cards on their profile. Every time(save for In bank prequal).
Every single time someone's denied WITH "Store cards" they've been store visa/mc. Every time. Every one.
Edit: my chase cards reported after first statement for csp and sw, don't know if that's always the case. Also both statements generate on cycle. For example your freedom might say your next statement is going to generate may 23rd, or something like that, the statement date that would be for the month before(April 23rd) is when they reported. My csp was unexpected, when I got my sw I assumed that was what would happen, and it was. Idk if that's always the case, but that was for me.
